Stock trading isn't risky, trading with NO knowledge of stock trading is risky. Anyone can trade stock. A trading account is all you need, along with some trading sense. We don't believe in trading news. We believe in trading facts. The facts are price and volume. That means the price that the stock is currently trading and the amount of people buying and selling that particular stock. The stock charts provide all the facts we need to make a profitable trade.
The two things you need to know about stock trading: when to get in, and when to get out. We cannot eliminate risk, but we can manage it. Technical analysis, or chart reading, allows us the ability to control our exposure to the market. The great thing about chart reading is that everyone can learn. No special degrees or past experience necessary. Success is based on each individual's commitment to become a good trader.
As football fans, we like to listen to players discuss the routines they use to win. One player said he physically trains, eats right, gets plenty of sleep, but most importantly, he watches the opponent's game reels. By watching past reels, he is able to create a mental photo album of possible plays that could happen on game day. This preparation gives him confidence that he will be able to recognize and react, as the pictures in his head are playing out on the field. The same is true of stock trading. We cannot see the future, so we look to a stock's past behavior (chart patterns) to anticipate its potential future moves. There are only a few patterns/pictures that we look for as a signal to enter or exit a trade. Learning to recognize these patterns/pictures as they appear on the stock charts, is key to trading success.
