Who We Are

Before beginning to trade stock, or any other venture, you have to ask yourself these important questions: How do I handle risk? What is my reason for doing this? How much am I able to invest? How much time can I devote to improvement?

The next step would be creating a plan of action. In this case, a trading plan. Outlining your trading goals and the ways you want to achieve them.

Forming Good Trading Habits

   Traders Mindset

  • Stay focused.
  • Don’t look for opportunities. If you don’t see it, then it DOESN'T EXIST.
  • It's okay that some days you may not make a trade.
  • Protecting your account is #1.
  • Understand and accept that not all trades will be winners. The objective is to stick to sound trading practices and win more than lose.

Starting the Trading Day

  • Review the charts of potential stock picks.
  • How did the market and the stocks you plan to trade finish yesterday?

When Choosing/Entering Your Trade

  • Is my stock pick consistent with my trading plan?
  • Draw support and resistance lines on the stock chart for each potential trade.
  • What is your objective for placing this trade (how many days, price target, etc.)?
  • Where is your exit (sell (profit target) and stop (risk limit) price)?

Know Your Stop

  • Know your stop (exit) before you place your trade.
  • When the stock hits your stop, it is NOT a failed trade, you haven’t loss. You have executed a good trade based on firm technical chart analysis.

Ending the Trading Day

  • Log all your trades for the day. Was the target achieved? If not, was it due to the entry price, target, stop loss, gap?
  • Make a preliminary list of the next day’s plays at the end of the day and come back after a break to confirm them. If possible, ask a fellow trader what they see to compare details.
